Christmas Wishlist/Gift Guide

This might not be to everyones tastes, but this is just a my little list of things I'm hoping to find under the Christmas tree this year or a gift guide for those who are a bit stuck on ideas!...

01.  Fuji Instax Printer // I'm completely obsessed with Instagram (who isn't right?!) and to be able to actually have those photos, in my hand, in real life, would be awesome!

02.   Graphic Tees - The Hallow Society & Born a Bad Seed // I discovered these brands through Instagram (I told you I was obsessed!) and fell in love! Tees and jeans are probably my favourite things to wear (besides pjs! lol) and these tees fit the bill for me.  I'd definitely recommend checking out both websites - you will want EVERYTHING, trust me!

03.   Gold Monogram Mug from Anthropology // These are totally Pinterest! Who wouldn't want one to sip their tea or coffee from or hold their brushes in or just to sit there and look pretty!

04   PJ sets from Next // PJ sets are a basic staple that everybody usually gets for Christmas. I don't know about anyone else, but I actually really like getting pjs for Christmas.  I love a good tartan set of pjs in the winter (they kinda remind me of Home Alone, don't ask me why lol).  For me, Next pjs are really good quality, I want to feel super cozy when I sleep, not all itchy and uncomfortable!

05.   Palmistry Candles from Rockett St George // I love the style of these candles, I've seen them on a few Instagram accounts I follow and they just look so boho-y, I'm really in to that style at the moment and know these would look great in my room!

06.   YSL Black Opium Perfume // I think perfume is another one of those Christmas staples! I keep spritzing this on me everytime I walk through John Lewis, I really like it! Its just the right amount of sweet for me and who doesn't love the sparkly bottle?!

07.   Tom Ford Lipstick in Velvet Cherry // Oh Tom Ford, how I love thee, let me count the ways... I think this particular shade came out in a collection last year, but I've been lusting after this shade for a while, I know its not my usual shade of nude (I'm quite surprised myself) but theres just something about this berry red shade and the name of it that turns my face in to that "heart eyed emoji", you know the one!

08.   Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk // Confession, I already own this... but I would be totally and hopelessly grateful to receive another! This is the one lip liner that every gal needs in her makeup bag! Plus, hello, its Charlotte Tilbury and that packaging, ugh, to die for!

09.   Copper fairy lights from Urban Outfitters // I love me some copper right now and I love fairy lights - this is a win win situation here! I spotted these in my local Urban Outfitters and didn't pick them up, I could kick myself right now - so thats why they're on this list!

I hope this little list helps you out a bit and you all have a gloriously wonderful Christmas and New Years! xo

(Extremely Late) October Favourites

Wow! Ok, so I've been absent from my blog for a while... I kept meaning to post but I just haven't been in the right "place" to blog.  I hate putting up posts that just sound like I can't even be bothered to write it and I didn't want to put a post up that i'd half arsed, so I just took a step back.  October was a pretty busy month - I've had family things and I've been sort of job hunting too lately... in London! Anyway, I'm back on it now, with my (Extremely Late) October favourites...

01.   Starbucks Iced Cappuccino // Who doesn't like to start the morning off with coffee?! Confession: I'm not actually a fan of hot coffee! But I LOVE iced coffee & this has been my favourite this past moth or so. I love having one when I'm getting ready in the mornings, its totally become part of my morning routine!

02.   UK Custom Plugs Amethyst Teardrop Plugs // Yep, I have my ears stretched. Everyone always asks if it hurt and I can tell you that, yes, yes it does, you're trying to stretch your ear! lol I wanted some pretty earrings and found these on the UK Custom Plugs website, amethyst is my favourite stone, so buying these was a no-brainer! I've been wearing these everyday for the past month, they're just so pretty!

03.   VO5 Plump It Up Blow Dry Lotion // I have pretty flat hair so anything that claims to give your hair a boost, I'm all over it.  I picked this up a while ago but never really used it properly until this past month... I can honestly say that it actually works! This really does give my hair some much needed volume, plus its pretty budget friendly and smells good too.

04.   Max Factor Smokey Eye Drama Kit in 01 Opulent Nudes // A friend of mine bought me this for my birthday, I'm not much of an eyeshadow wearer usually but I went out a few time this past month and fancied giving this a go.  For a "drug store" eye shadow palette, the shadows are quite soft and buttery and are actually very pigmented.  I can create a daytime look or I can use the darker colours for a more smokey look, this palette is a pretty great starter palette for an eyeshadow newb!

05.   Maybelline Master Brow Palette in deep brown // I'd been using the hourglass eyebrow pencil for forever and fancied trying something new.  I picked this up in a Boots 3 for 2 offer and have been really surprised at just how good this is.  You can read more of about it in my Drug Store Haul (here). It matches my brow colour pretty well and the wax really does hold my brows in place.  I even like the highlight powder! I don't use the brush it comes with mind, I use a zoeva angled brush.

06. Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm // As winter is a rollin' in my lips are getting pretty dry so I've always needed a heavy duty lip balm to help them.  I think this is one of those cult classics that everyone loves and I've been reaching for this one more and more lately.  Its an all round great lip balm.

07.   Tom Ford Lipstick in Nude Vanille // Theres just something about Tom Ford products isn't there? Every girl needs a bit of Tom Ford in their lives!  Tom Ford lipsticks are so buttery smooth and the packaging is so pretty and chic - they're just the most glamorous lipsticks of them all! As you can tell (if you read my blog) my nude lipstick phase is still going strong. You just can't beat a good nude lipstick.

Well that's my little round up if the things I was obsessing over in October. I'm not doing a "non-beauty favourites" for October as I've kinda left it a bit late, so I just bundled my coffee favourite into this post lol.

I'm currently sat writing this post in bed, on a Saturday morning with an iced coffee, the wind is howling and i've got my fairy lights on... lawd I feel so cosy right now! Hope all you lovelies have a great weekend! xo

September Non-Beauty Favourites

I quite enjoyed doing a "non-beauty favourites" post last month, and as I’ve got a few non-beauty favourites again, I've decided to carry it on!

01.   Doughnuts // Who doesn’t love doughnuts?! I’ve been a bit obsessed with eating them this month – give me a Reeses Pieces peanut butter doughnut over a chocolate bar any day! The Reeses ones are by far my favourite, I swear I’ve had at least one a week the whole month of September!

02.   Starbucks Iced Cappuccino // I’ve become a little completely obsessed with these! I love sipping on one these as a morning treat before work (actually, I'll have one of these any morning really), its sweet chocolate-y (I think) caffeine goodness at its finest! Seriously, the next time you're in Tesco/Asda/wherever grabbing your almond milk, pick up one of these too... you can thank me later!

03.   Thor Pop Vinyl // I’m totally in to collecting the Vinyl figures at the moment and Thor always seems to be sold out! The last time I popped in to Forbidden Planet they had one Thor figure left, he was in my hands quicker than you could say “ANOTHER!”.

04.   Zara basic tees // Zara basic tees are just my favourite thing to wear right now. I pick a new one up every time I walk in there, dangerous I know! The material is so soft and the tees are just the right amount of “baggy/oversized” and they’re so comfortable! You can never have too many basic tees right?!

05.   Orphan Black // I heard a few YouTubers bang on about this TV series on Netflix, I was pretty bored one morning so decided to see what they were all harping on about… I’m now hooked! It’s kinda weird and the lead actress can’t do an English accent to save her life, but it’s quite addictive, you want to know what’s going to happen next!

06.   Mini MK Bag // If you read my post on my new little baby (link here) this will come as no surprise to you that its popping up in my monthly “non-beauty” favourites. This bag is so tiny and cute and scrummy! I use her all the time – if you had a MK as cute as this, wouldn’t you want to wear it to death too? Lol Side note:- having a bag this small also means that I don’t horde a ton of receipts/crap in it like my other bags!

Hope all you lovelies are having a great week… I can’t believe the change in the weather, where has the October sunshine gone from the weekend?? xo

September Beauty Favourites

So another month bites the dust and we are now officially in Autumn...although the weather hasn't quite made up its mind it seems. As I’m typing this, its glorious sunshine outside and actually quite warm!

I haven't got too many beauty favourites this month as most of the products I mentioned in my last favourites are still going strong! But there have been a few things I've been loving...

01. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream // This was a new purchase for me this month; I had run out of my Clarins Eye Contour Gel and wanted to try something different. I’ve used this eye cream in the past and remembered loving it back then so thought I’d give this one a go again – also, it has “hydrating” in the title, what’s not to love about that?! So far so good, its super moisturising and no stingy eyes!

02. Mac Lipstick in Hue // This really is the perfect “my lips but better shade”! I’ve been reaching for this one allot this month, for when I want a lil somethin’ on the lips but I don’t want to go too OTT. As it’s a glaze it’s also quite hydrating on my lips.

03. Benefit Eye Bright // I’ve needed some help in the eye department lately (actually I’ve needed help with getting out of bed in general!). I’ve been feeling super tired this month – it’s been pretty heavy at work! So anything that can make me look more awake I NEED! One swipe of this along my waterline and my eyes instantly look less red and more “ready to face the day”!

04. Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel Mask // Sometimes my skin just needs a little clear out and a refresh. I love using this product for that. It has fruit enzymes in it which are great for getting rid of all the build-up of crap, dead skin cells and whatever else I’ve got lurking in my pores! I leave this on for 10 – 15 minutes and wash off with a muslin cloth. It doesn’t irate my skin at all, so no beetroot face after I take this off! It also smells incredible. I would definitely recommend trying this!! I think I picked this sample up as a freebie with a magazine, it’s lasted me quite a while actually. When this runs out I think ima have to invest in the full size tube!

05. Body Shop Coconut Body Milk // I've been trying to moisturise my body more, especially as we're coming in to Autumn, my skin always gets dryer in the colder months so i've decided to get a head start on tackling that! I love that this moisturiser is in a spritz bottle, it makes it so quick and easy to apply and the moisturiser dries in so quick! I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this in a favourites before (and for good reason!) it also makes my skin smell incredible - i've even had compliments on my "perfume" (I pointed them in the direction of the Body Shop!).

06. Shcwarzkopf Collagen Big Volume Mousse // I have long but super fine hair with pretty much zero volume, I found this in my stash and decided to start using it again, anything to help add volume to my main! I've been using this after every time I've washed my hair and I have to say, this really does help! When I use this on my hair it feels noticeably thicker and definitely looks more full! It does take a while for my hair to dry when using this but its a price i'm willing to pay for thicker fuller hair!

Hope all you beauties are having a glorious weekend!... I highly recommend a Starbucks iced cappuccino in the morning! xo

The Clarins Game Changer

Before I came across the Clarins Toning lotion for Dry/Normal Skin, I never really entered in to the world of toners – I always thought it was just an extra step in my skincare routine that was a bit of a waste of time - that was until I discovered this beaut!

I was after a moisturiser at the time (the hydra quench moisturiser) and was given a little sample of this as I explained that I had super dry skin.  I used the sample up and decided that this was a step that defiantly needed to be added in to my skin care routine!

Claris describe this product as a "gentle alcohol-free toning lotion which stimulates and refreshes the skin, while respecting its pH and moisture levels. Enriched with gentle Camomile, Alpine Herbs, and Linden extracts the toner softens, smoothes and soothes irritations. Vitamins A, B and E improve skin quality. Gently removing all traces of cleanser, this facial toner provides ultimate comfort for dry skin, and leaves dry or normal skin cleansed and perfectly radiant. Day after day the gentle facial toner prepares and readies the skin for the Clarins treatments that follow".  I couldn't have put this better myself!

Ya'll know I’m all about the hydration factor when it comes to skincare and I’ve noticed that since using this, in combination with my moisturiser, my dry skin has completely disappeared! I pump a little bit out on to a cotton round and gently swipe across my face after cleansing; this product makes my skin feel so fresh and awake, also, I don’t know about anyone else, but when I cleanse my skin it can sometimes feel a bit tight afterwards, a swipe of this product over my face and that tightness disappears! Its quite heavily scented but it doesn't irritate my skin at all.  I would defiantly recommend picking up a sample the next time your walking past a Clarins counter! xo

New In // Drug Store Hair & Beauty Haul

OK, so Boots is literally just around the corner from my office…it’s a dangerous thing! It's even more dangerous when you've got a fresh wage packet in the bank. So I decided to pop in to get some lunch so naturally ended up browsing the makeup isles! Well, one thing led to another and few new things ended up in my basket!

The first thing I gravitated towards were the new lipsticks from Maybelline and of course went straight for the nudes! Yes, nude obsession is still going strong... (side note:  I have a nude nail polish post coming up soon!). I picked up the shade #725 Tantalizing Taupe.  It looked gorgeous watched on my hand but I find this is a bit too much of a browny nude on my lips (I prefer more pinker nudes).  I need to experiment with this, maybe wear it over my Pillow Talk Lip Cheat from CT? Anyway, the texture of it is lovely, I really like the packaging and I quite like the smell too, its sort of sweet and cake-y... if you don't like strong smelling lip products though, warning: this is probably one to stay away from!

As it was buy 2 get a 3rd item free I just sort of went for it! The next item in my basket was the Eraser Eye Concealer from Maybelline in Light.  I've wanted to try this concealer for a while now, I've heard some pretty good things about it. Well, even though its "Light", its really a bit too dark/orange for my skin tone and its got quite a watery texture.  It does have some coverage, not as much as other concealers I love but I am quite glad I picked it up to try.  I make it work for me and I tend to use this as a quick grab and go product, if I can't be bothered to wear any foundation I dot this on the places I need, work it in with my fingers, a quick swipe of my Mac MSK in Light and I'm out the door (obvs not forgetting mascara!)

The last thing from Maybelline I picked up was the Master Brow Pro Palette.  I've been using the hourglass brown pencil for ages and just fancied picking up something a bit different.  There were 2 shades, medium and dark, I went for the dark one! I'm actually quite impressed with this product.  The first square is the wax that you apply to sort shape, tame and sort our your brows, you then fill them in with the powder in the middle square and the third square is your brow highlight (which also makes quite a nice eyeshadow!). I don't use this on a daily basis as its quite time consuming and in the mornings during the week, I like to get things over and done with quickly, this one i use when i have more time, like at weekends, but I quite like this product!

I then ended up in the hair isle where another 3 for 2 was happening, dum dum dumm...

My shampoo had just died a death so I picked up the OGX KuKui Oil Hydrate & Defrizz shampoo & conditioner.  I've heard Caroline Hirons talk about these and the babe that is @Loumoo_ on Instagram recommended them too, so these went straight in the basket! They smell incredible, like, holiday smell incredible! I've only tested them out once so far but they've left my hair feeling soft and noticeably less frizzy!

For my freebie I headed to the hair mask section.  I decided to pick up the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Treatment Mask.  I haven't used it yet, but my favourite conditioner of all time is the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Express Treatment Conditioner, so I have high hopes for this.  I'm thinking about using this as an overnight treatment, but its quick a thick consistency so i'll have to see how I can work with it, but I will let you lovelies know what I think when I get to use it! xo

The Adventure Begins

My work life has been kinda crappy lately, but I had a little epiphany in the gym this morning (yes, I was in the gym on a Saturday morning, I can't quite believe it myself either!) – I’m the only one that can change this! So I’ve decided the fist thing I need to do is to bring some positive energy in to my work space!

My current work space in my office is so blah! I haven’t really put a personal stamp on it yet and over the weekend I decided that this needs to change. I’ve been scrawling through Pinterest looking for office-inspo and made a cheeky little purchase in Urban Outfitters.

I realised that I didn’t have a work mug, so I picked up this cute little one. Perfect for sipping my Cherry Bakewell Green Tea from in the afternoons (sounds weird, tastes amazing)! I also spotted this marble effect notebook – it was marble, I’m a blogger, the 2 go hand in hand really.

Im feeling like a marble, white, mint and gold theme - obviously I'm not allowed to paint my desk or the walls or anything like that, but I want to bring in accessories with those sorts of colours.  I've been scrawling through the internet and found some little gems...

The marble plates are from H & M // I have so many random bits and pieces on my desk at work, I thought the bigger marble plate would be great for keeping all things in one place.

The clear and gold pen pot and stapler are from Kate Spade // so chic right?! Why wouldn't I want these pieces on my desk!

The pencils, scissors and prints are from Etsy // I though bringing in prints to put up in my work space would give me something pretty to look at rather than just my notes and random bits of paper & also make my workspace feel more personal.

The journal is from Urban Outfitters // I'm OBSESSED with mint green at the moment, this daily journal needs to be mine!

I feel a stationary/office accessories splurge coming on!... Hope all you lovelies are having a great weekend! xo

Michael Kors // Mini Selma

You know when you go shopping and you think, what could make this day even better?... I decided that it would be a new Michael Kors bag! Isn't she a beauty?!

I already have one of the large Selma Totes (you can see that here) but I wanted something smaller to take out in the evenings and of course black goes with everything so it was a win win situation when I found this little baby.

It's pretty small, there's no way you could fit a full on purse in this thing, but it has a little card holder inside to put things like that in which is perfect, it also means you can't stuff your bag full of "just in case" things/the kitchen sink which I'm always guilty of doing...although not now!

This bag looks so classic and chic, it literally goes with every single outfit I own! I always get complements on it when I take it out with me. I love the clean lines, the hard structured leather and the gold hardware.  The strap is also long enough to wear it cross body, which is great!... I'd definitely recommend investing in a MK baby of your own! xo

High End Beauty Haul

I did a whoops and had a bit of a splurge, a high end splurge, and you know what, I don't eve care! I love everything I bought and I'm not even ashamed at just how much money I rinsed through! lol

Whenever I'm in the John Lewis in West Quay, Southampton, I just can't seem to help myself.  Their beauty haul just calls to me.  When i'm there its like I'm in some beauty bubble and i'm completely oblivious to just how much damage i'm doing to my bank balance... yet I would still go back for more!

August Non-Beauty Favourites

August Beauty Favourites

This year is really flying by! I feel like the closer we get to the end of the year, the faster its going! I'm kinda sad to say goodbye to August but I feel like September is month for change. I've finally finished all my exams so my evenings are free for me to get off my arse and actually do something and I'm excited to say hello to Autumn!

I feel like August was the month for skincare, I didn't really wear allot of makeup but I totally stepped up my skincare game!...

Hijack Cinema

Ok, so let’s just touch on the almost 2 month hiatus I’ve taken from my little space on the internet, I won’t go on and on about it but long story short, I’ve had my final exams to study for (which I passed!!!) and I’ve also not been well lately :/ I want to try and start blogging regularly again now that all my free time isn’t eaten up by studying! I love blogging and talking about the things I want to talk about, anyways… I thought I would kick things off with a bit of a “lifestyle post”.

Beauty Haul // Feeling Spendy

I've not been feeling well lately and when I'm off work sick I find myself browsing the interwebs... well, the inevitable happened and I ended up feeling pretty spendy, so I dragged the boyf shopping last weekend!

First stop was the Body Shop, I’ve been after the Body Shop’s coconut body milk for ages, it smells incredible and it’s just so easy to apply! As it’s in a spray bottle, you just spritz a bit on and it sinks in right away, none of this waiting around or yanking your skinny jeans up to the point they almost rip because of you sticky balmy legs! Lol

I then decided to have a bit of a splurge on skin care! My skin has been getting drier and more dehydrated lately (even though I make sure I drink at least 3 litres of water a day!) and I noticed that my current moisturiser just wasn’t cutting it. So I found myself at the Clarins counter and after talking to the sales assistant she talked me in to buying the Hydraquench Cream with SPF 15 (added SPF bonus!). It smells heavenly, all Clarins products do, but I love the smell of this moisturiser. It doesn’t break me out, even with the fragrance, and I’ve noticed such a difference in my skin already, no more dryness!!

While I was there I decided that I needed some sun cream for my face – just in case we have anymore sunny days and we decide to head off to the beach - although looking at the weather right now, maybe I was a bit hasty with the this purchase. I haven’t tried it out yet, but I picked up the “Sun Wrinkle Control Cream” in factor 50!

The Origins counter was right next door so it would have been very rude of me not to stop off there too, plus I’m almost out of my all-time favourite mask, the Origins Overnight Drink Up intensive mask, you know the one! I decided to treat myself to the full size of this! It smells incredible and my skin loves it, I’m pretty sure every girl/woman whose in to their skin care loves this mask!

I then decided that I wanted some Bumble & Bumble in my life as my Sunday Shampoo is on its way out – unfortunately, I couldn’t find this, I think they were out of stock, but I WAS NOT coming away empty handed so picked up the Bumble and Bumble Blow Dry Straight – I’ve used this before and it’s is a life saver for anyone with wavy, kinky hair. Its super good to use when you have a fringe and your hair is naturally wavey and you don’t want your fringe sticking out all over the place! It’s also a heat protectant too!

I'd say that's a pretty decent haul there - will keep you posted on the Clarins sun cream when I get a chance to use it!

Don't forget to check out my lil GIVEAWAY! xo

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+] // & Giveaway!

A few weeks back I mentioned in my skincare routine post that I had run out of my beloved Effaclar Duo [+] anti-blemish cream, well the lovely people over at La Roche-Posay very kindly sent me another tube… they also sent me one to give away to one you lovely lot! How nice!

I’m just gunna confess, I bloody love the Effaclar Duo [+] and I can’t be without it! Especially around “that time of the month” when I start to get little break outs in my t-zone, it really helps to keep my skin in check, stops the dreaded spotties in their tracks and also helps control the oillyness in my t-zone. It even helps reduce the pores on my nose!

The write up on this says that “the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ anti-blemish cream is specifically formulated to target the key signs of oily, blemish-prone skin. Clinically tested to correct the appearance of blemishes, unclog pores and refine skin texture. This daily skincare solution is suitable even for sensitive skin.” I would have to say that’s a pretty darn accurate description! I have extremely sensitive skin and this really doesn’t irritate it at all.

I apply this morning and night just in the areas I need it most – I tend to steer clear of my cheeks and stick to just my forehead, nose and chin. I really do notice a difference straight away. The redness of my little blemishes disappear and practically go away within a day or 2!

I know this sounds kinda weird, but I also like to use the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ anti-blemish cream on my upper arms too. I live in an area with extremely hard water and sometimes suffer with horribly little bumps (sort of like little spots) on my upper arms – yuck I know! I put this on after I’ve showered and before my body moisturiser and within a couple of days I really notice a difference, the bumps all but disappear and my skin is so much smoother!

I don’t know how well this would work with Acne prone skin, as *touches wood a million times* I only suffer with the occasional blemish or breakout, but I would 100% recommend this product to anyone, it’s a great multi-tasking product! In fact I’ve recommended this to every one of my girlfriends and they’ve all come back and said how much they love it too! It really is a women’s secret weapon when it comes to skincare!

If you fancy winning yourself a tube of the magic that is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ anti-blemish cream, make sure you follow my blog by either GFG or bloglovin, or both, and just leave a comment below with your name and email address (and maybe a little message too) and I’ll randomly select a winner on Sunday! Ps. This is actually my first little giveaway on my blog, ever! Eeep!

Hopefully this is a little something that has cheered your Monday up! xo

Empties

Another month, another bunch of products bites the dust! I can't remember the last time I did an empties post, but lately I've been trying to use up products before I buy any new ones. I quite like reading empties posts, if someone uses a product up completely, they can usually give a fairly accurate review of that product...

01.   Mango Body Wash // There is nothing I love more than using a fresh smelling shower gel in the shower in the morning. I usually go for fresh fruity scents to try and wake myself up a bit. This one smells incredible… one of the reasons why I bought it! I think it’s a bit on the pricey side for a Boots own brand shower gel, so I’m not going to run out and repurchase right away when there are other cheaper (but just as good) options out there. But I will probably repurchase at some point in the future.

02.   Mango Body Butter // I remember raving about this a month or so ago (you can check it out in my favourites here). The smell of this body butter is just  as (if not more so) incredible than the body wash, if you love the smell of mangos like I do, then you will majorly heart this, trust me!! It sinks in fairly quickly, although not as quick as I would prefer, but it does leave my skin feeling hydrated and soft. I used this pretty much every night; I’ve been trying to get in to the habit of moisturising my body more! All in all, I would definitely recommend this body butter… at least go give it a whiff the next time you’re in boots!

03.   Hydraluron // I think you all know how much I love Hydraluron/Indeed Labs products and I've raved about this particular beaut in my current skincare routine post here, so I won't go in to too much detail - but I love it and will definitely be repurchasing.  Its a great serum for dehydrated and dry skin!

04.   First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads // This is another product I've raved about on the blog before (here in my skincare routine and here in my favourites post).  These were great for exfoliating and getting rid of the yucky dry skin cells and were actually quite gentle on my skin! I'm using something new at the moment, but when that runs out, these will definitely have to be repurchased! They're great for using around "that time of the month" to keep your skin in check!

05.   Dove Invisible Deodorant // Its kinda weird, but I struggle to find deodorants that don't make my under arms itch, there must be something in deodorants that my skin doesn't like! Dove deodorants are the only ones that I find don't irritate my skin under there! I can honestly say that I will never deviate from this deodorant again, its a firm repurchase!!

06.   L'Oreal Ultra Riche Replenishing and Taming Shampoo // This is my all time favourite Shampoo! Its sulphate free, smells amazing and leaves my hair incredibly soft.  I can't remember how many bottles of this stuff I've been through.  The next time your in Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, wherever, do yourself a favour and pick this up and just give it a go!

07.   Dove Express Treatment Conditioner // This is the conditioner that comes out in 2 different colours, its white with a ribbon of gold running through it - which I'm guessing are the oils.  I have long, fine and dry hair.  This is by far the best conditioner I've ever used and I always have a back up in my stash.  I rarely use any other conditioner! This baby is usually on offer in tesco.  While you're there picking up the L'Oreal shampoo I just mentioned, pick this up too - its my winning hair combo!

08.   Garnier Ultimate Blends Dry Shampoo // I'm a massive dry shampoo fan.  I use it pretty much every other day and sometime use it on just washed hair to give it some extra va va voom.  I absolute love this one.  Ive had compliments on the smell - it smells just like a holiday, very coconuty and vanillary - and it doesn't leave that annoying white residue! This is up there as probably one of my all time favourite dry shampoos - alongside the CoLab Dry shampoo, obvs!

09.   L'Oreal Elnett Volume Hairspray // I wanted a hairspray that would hold my style without making my hair feel all crunchy and crispy and like it would snap off ...this fits that bill totally! For a hairspray it actually smells quite nice too. The whole volume thing, I have to say I really don't notice a difference, but nonetheless, its a great hairspray, I already have a back up in my little hair stash!

If you have any more questions about the products mentioned, ping me a comment or an email - but I would recommend all of these products 100%! Hope all you lovelies had a great weekend! xo

Whats In My Bag // Mini Edition

I used to be one of those girls that would always have the biggest bag and would literally be carrying everything with me, including the kitchen sink - I mean, I still kinda do when I'm going to work in the week - but on weekends or days out, I'm now in to smaller (mini, if you will) bags.

My current mini bag of choice is this one from Primark... it was £4, bargain!! Fancy having a nosy at what I can fit in this thing?...

June Favourites

Its official, we're now half way through 2015! I practically say this at the end of every month, but this year is going by crazy fast! June has been a pretty darn good month! I went to London for the boyf's birthday (see my posts on London & the Electric Cinema), 2 of my closest friends got engaged and summer finally arrived! Hazaar!!

There have been a few beauty that i've been depending on to get me through this month...

01.   Victorias Secret Vanilla & Coconut Body Mist // I've been loving the VS body mists for AGES and you can't beat the scent of coconut in the summer.  This has been the only fragrance i've been reaching for lately!

02.   China Glaze Nail Polish in Dare to Bare // A friend of mine had this on her nails a few weeks ago.  I saw it, I fell in love, it had to be mine! You know I'm a big fan of nude lips so its safe to say that I'm a fan of nude nail polish too! This is the perfect soft nude pink.  If you want to see this on my nails, go check out my Instagram account (in the side bar >>>).  I feel so Pinterest when I have this on my nails lol!

03.   Bumble & Bumble De-Frizz // The Bumble & Bumble De-Frizz is a life saver for us gals with wavy and frizz prone hair! In the summer months when it gets hot and humid -  *insert a picture of Monica from friends in Barbados - that pretty much sums up my hair! The BB De-Frizz does exactly what it says on the bottle.  This is a true summer must have!

04.   Nars Blush in Douceur // I don't like to wear too much makeup in general but I had a rummage through my stash at the start of the month as I was getting in to a bit of blush rut and I found this.  This has been the only blush i've been swiping across my cheeks this month, it gives a lovely natural flush! *I heard a rumour that this is now discontinued?! *major sad face!

05.   Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Powder in N.20 // N.20 was a little too dark for me when I bought this back at the start of the year, but now its summer and I'm getting bit more of a tan, this is just right! It isn't cakey and is perfect for touch ups when things are getting a bit shiny! Who doesn't love using Chanel products?! Any chance to crack out the Chanel!

06.   Mac Lipstick in Hue // I'm pretty sure this has had it's moment in a few blog posts of mine and yep, my nude lip fetish is still going strong - this is just the one i've been reaching for lately.  Its got a lovely creamy texture so it glides on and doesn't stick to any dry patches on the lips and is basically a "my lips but better" colour.

07.   Pixi Glow Tonic // My FAB Facial Radiance Pads have run out (sad face), so I decided to try this.  I'd heard some great reviews and when Caroline Hirons raves about a product, you know it has to be a goodun.  So far I'm really liking it.  I think i'll do a more in-depth review of this, so I won't go in to too much detail, but I will say that my skin has been loving it so far, and no break outs!!!

08.  The Glam Guide by the lovely Fleur De Force // A friend from work let me borrow this, she said that I just had to give it a read.  I've only read a little bit of it so far, I don't really get a lot of time to read during the week, but I can't believe I hadn't picked it up before, its a great read, I'd definitely recommend it!

I hope all you lovelies have had a great month! I'm a little bit excited for July... its my birthday month! *insert massive grin!! Lets hope the sun carries on! xo

Electric Cinema // Shorditch

If you read my last post (London Photo Diary // June 2015) you would have known that I took the boyfriend to the Electric Cinema in Shoreditch for his birthday. I was going to take him to the Electric Cinema in Portobello, but we were staying closer to Shoreditch, so the cinema in Shoreditch was the “only logical” choice (hello cheesy star trek reference haha!).

London Photo Diary // June 2015

This past weekend I met the boyf up in London, he was up their already because he was going to Star Wars Secret Cinema - so jealous! I met him on the Friday because I was taking him to see Jurassic World at the Electric Cinema in Shorditch for his birthday - which FYI, is AMAZING! I love seeing these photo diary type posts and I love looking back on the ones that I've done and remembering the fun times so heres another one...

Review // Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Break Serum

So this is one that has featured in a few monthly favourite posts, so I thought it was time that this beaut had a post of its own!

It was actually a friend who recommended this to me. I'd seen it a few times in Boots but didn't think of picking it up. When I saw it in my friend’s bathroom, I asked her about it and she couldn't stop raving about it. Needless to say the next time I found myself in Boots, it went straight in my basket!

The bottle describes it as a blend of coconut milk which helps nourish your hair, while ultra-whipped egg white proteins help add strength and elasticity, along with weightless coconut oils for added hydration and balance.

I work a tiny amount of this through the ends of my hair while it’s still damp; I then follow up with a heat protectant before blow drying. I also use this as an overnight hair mask/treatment. For an overnight mask/treatment I pump out about 4 pumps and apply this throughout my hair from root to tip, swoosh it up in a topknot and go about my business in the evening, it washes out super easy the next morning!

I can’t say that I’ve noticed a difference in my split ends (sad face) but since I’ve been using this my hair definitely feels a lot softer and dare I say more nourished. Also, your hair smells of coconut! And with summer coming up it’s the perfect scent to be rocking in your hair. I’ve had this bottle for about 3 or 4 months now and because I only need to use a tiny amount, I can’t see myself running out of this any time soon, and at £6.99, this doesn't break the bank either!

Side note – I have super fine hair, so I only need to use a tiny amount otherwise my hair looks like a big ol’ greasy mess! If you have thicker hair you could probably get away with using a bit more!

My Skin Care Routine // AM & PM

I’ve got a pretty simple, no fuss, non-fancy skincare routine that seems to be working for me right now, usually I’m forever switching up products. My morning & evening skincare routine is pretty much the same (with a few switch ups here and there) but this routine has been pretty solid for the past 2 months or so, so I thought I’d share it with you guys…

May Favourites

Its official, we're half way through they year! Where the hell did that go?! I feel like the older I get, the quicker the years fly by! This month has had some good times and some not so good times, but these products have helped me through...

01.    Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil // My lips are dry pretty much all year round so I always have a lip balm or some sort of lip product on the go. I’ve done a post about this before (you can read that here if you like) so I won’t go in to too much detail, but I’ve been using this pretty much non-stop all month and I’ve really noticed a difference in the condition of my lips. I’ve been putting this on my lips as the last step in my skin care routine at night, so when I wake up in the morning my lips feel all nourished and soft! I would definitely recommend grabbing this if you can find it!

02.   Origins Drink Up Intense Overnight Moisture Mask // I’ve always had a thing for this mask but this month our love affair grew! There is nothing I don’t love about this mask. My skin loves it, it smells amazing and I wake up in the morning with plump, soft and very happy skin! If I’ve had a stressful day at work or an alcohol heavy night, I’ll make sure I put this on before my head hits the pillow and it’s like nothing ever happened! I use this about 2 maybe 3 times a week at the moment. I’m almost running out, I think it’s time I treat myself to the big tube of this stuff!

03.   YSL Shocking Mascara // This was a throwback purchase for me at the start of the month. I used to use this all the time and for some reason just stopped. I was wondering around Debenhams, I needed a new mascara so decided to pick this up again. It’s a bit clumpier than I remember, but I still really like it! It gives my lashes a ton of thickness, makes them super black and even though it’s not water proof (I don’t think), this mascara doesn’t budge!

04.   Burberry Kisses Lipstick in No. 05 Nude Pink // Yep, still on the nude lipstick bandwagon…I just can’t get enough! I’ve recently done a post about this beauty (you can read that here if you like) raving about how much I love it so I won’t go repeating myself here, but I love it! Besides the Clarins Lip Oil, this has been the only other lip product I’ve been reaching for this month!

05.   Ogx Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Hair Serum // Besides smelling great – I mean who doesn’t like the smell of coconut?! – This has also done wonders for my hair! I’ve been putting a small amount of this through the ends of my hair before blow-drying and I’ve also being using it as an overnight hair mask/treatment type of thing! My hair definitely feels softer…and hello, who wouldn’t want their locks to smell like a holiday? lol

06.   First Aid Beauty (FAB) Facial Radiance Pads // Ok so I’m pretty sure I mentioned these in my April Favourites, but if Caroline Heroines can mention them more than once, then so can I! I just can’t get over how much good these have done for my skin! The flaky dry patches have all but disappeared and my makeup sits SO much better on my skin! These are usually on offer on the Feel Unique website so I would definitely recommend picking up a pot and trying them out for yourself!

Honourable mention: An honourable May Favourites mention goes to Lindt Dark Chocolate with sea salt… I cannot put in to words how truly scrumptious this chocolate is! I swear to Odin that I could demolish a whole bar in like 5 minutes! (I totally did this last night, oops!) Seriously, go and try it!... You can thank me later ;) xo

Brand Focus // Indeed Labs

I've not done one of these "brand focus" blog posts before but when I realised that I use more Indeed Labs products in my skin care routine than any other brand, I just had to give them a rave on my blog!

I'll start by saying that I have quite dry and dehydrated skin. It sometimes gets so dry that it gets a lil flaky and patchy and dull (I know, gross!). I realised that I wanted to do something to tackle this but without breaking the bank! It just so happened that Indeed Labs have everything I need to tackle all my horrid skin problems and all without the hefty price tag - I pick up my Indeed Labs products from Boots and they're usually on a 3 for 2 deal or something like that!

First up, let’s talk about the Hydraluron Moisture Serum - everyone and their mother knows about this by now surly, it’s done some serious rounds in the Blogasphere! Hydraluron Moisture Serum contains a pure form of hyaluronic acid, an incredibly hydrating ingredient that holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water with red marine algae which helps with maximum delivery. The result – better hydrated, moisture nourished, plumped up skin. I used to get super dry patches between my brows, under my eyes and for some reason on my cheeks near my lips. I've been using the Hydraluron Moisture Serum for a little under 2 months day and night and can honestly say I’ve notice a big difference in not only the texture but the plumpness of it too!

Next on the rave list is Pepta Bright. Because my skin was so dehydrated, it was looking quite grey and dull and just generally lifeless – without makeup on I looked like a corpse pretty much! I needed something to brighten up my skin and bring some life back in to my face – that’s where this babe comes in. Pepta Bright is a lightweight and moisture rich serum that helps reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation while promoting overall skin radiance, leaving a more even toned, luminous complexion. Again, I’ve been using this for the past 2 months and have really noticed a difference – no more corpse face for me! & anything that adds an extra layer of hydration to my parched face is always a winner!

Finally, the Hydraluron Moisture Masks – these are like my little secret weapons! If I know I’m going to be going to an event or anywhere special, or if my skin is really playing up (or I just fancy a general pamper), I pop one of these on after I’ve cleansed my skin and leave it for like 20 to 30 minutes and BAYUM my skin is hydrated, plumped, baby’s bottom smooth and lookin oh so lovely! I say every woman needs this lil secret weapon in their beauty stash! I won’t go in to too much detail because I’ve already raved about these beauts before (you can see my review here if you like), but I will say that it’s like a massive shot of the Hydraluron Moisture Serum all at once and my skin loves it, these are also the easiest masks you will ever use… I love them so much that I’ve even got a few friends in to them. A friend of mine recently had some sever dry and red looking patches on her skin – I recommended these masks to her, I worked its magic and now she’s hooked!

Looong post is long!! Sorry about the essay but I like I said, I just can’t rave about Indeed Labs enough – I could have written more, but I restrained myself! If you want to find out more info on these products, I recommend checking out their website. Hope you beauts are having a great week! I now have a 5 day weekend, get in!!

Dream Catcher

I've been a bit obsessed with pretty much anything resembling the 90s lately and came across this GAWGUS dream catcher on the Urban Outfitters website! When I saw it on the UO website I new I NEEDED it, it instantly went in my online basket and a couple of days later the postman was dropping it! *insert excited emoji! I just had to share this beauty with the world (aka. on my little space of the interwebs).  Isn't she pretty?  I love the dip dye feathers and the almost Slipknot look of the big circle bit (I have no idea what that bit is called!).

Its hand made so the feathers will differ on each dream catcher, I have a couple of dodgy looking feathers on mine, but I think it gives it a bit of charter so I don't really mind too much!

To be honest theres not really too much else I can say about this other than I love it! That, and the fact I love having it hanging up in my bedroom!... I feel so tumblr with a dreamcatcher in my room, all I need now is a shit tone of fairy lights (check!) & a Starbucks (I could majorly do with a coffee right now!) #lolz!

Hope all you lovelies are having a great weekend... Today is the perfect lazy day with the boyf, we're currently vegging out with junk food and junk tv! I SO don't want it to be Monday tomorrow! xo

A Mini Burberry Kiss

Ok, so it’s safe to say that my love for nude lip products is still going strong - & the latest nude lip product to join my collection is this little babe, the new Burberry Kisses Lipstick in No. 05 Nude Pink.

Firstly how cute is the size of this thing! And the packaging – love! I got this little sample when I was in London a few weeks back (fancy seeing my London Haul? You can check that out here). I didn’t think I would use this because sometimes when I get samples they just sort of sit in my makeup draws, but I decided to give this a go and I was pleasantly surprised!...

Tortoise Shell

I'm not one to usually freak out over a pair of sunglasses, I think before this pair I only owned my RayBan wayfarers and a pair from Topshop... everything changed when I spotted these on the ASOS website!

I fell in love with the colour of the tortoise shell print and the fact that they were hand made - the purple gradient tinted lenses just tipped it over the edge for me and before I knew it they were in my basket and I was hitting the "hell yes I want to buy these right now" button! My purchase of these sunglasses also had nothing what so ever to do with the fact that i'd seen them in one of Hello October' Youtube videos! #lol

I love how chunky they are and the big lenses hide a multitude of sins (aka. humungous dark eye circles/bags from a heavy night before!) I think these would suit just about anyone.

These have pretty much been the only pair of shades I've been reaching for lately - when the sun decides to make an appearance!  I don't think these particular sunglasses are on the ASOS website anymore boo! But I did find some very similar here.

April Favourites

It’s crazy how fast this year is flying by! I know everyone says it, but I can’t believe we’re almost half way through the year!

Life has kinda gotten in the way recently and I seem to have neglected my little corner of the internet, I was getting better with posting regularly but last month just sort of slipped. So this month is a fresh start! I have my list of posts that I want to churn out with (hopefully) some great content. One of my favourite things to read are monthly favourite posts, so first post on my “blog to-do list” is April Favourites!...

London Haul

Ok, so if you read my last post, you know that I felt (very) spendy in London and that I was planning on doing a lil "London haul" post. Well, here it is...

The first place we went to was Mac, I couldn't walk out of Mac empty handed to ended up picking up their lip liner in cherry.  Ever since discovering my wholly grail lip liner (Charlotte Tilbury's lip cheat in Pillow Talk) I can't get enough of them, so decided to pick this up as I'd heard some pretty great things about it and thought it would be perfect to wear under my red lipsticks, or on its own.

We then hit Burberry! I had every intention of getting just the one thing which of course was their eye shadow in Pale Barley - which is gorgeous btw and they had just had a re-stock so phew! I finally managed to get my hands on the cult product! The ladies in the Burberry store were SOO lovely and asked if we wanted our makeup touched up, I jumped at the chance as we'd had a bit of a late one the night before.  I have to say, hands down, this was the only time I've had my makeup done by someone other than myself and actually really liked it! She just freshen up our complexions, applied some blush and some gloss on me (I didn't actually get a picture). I loved the lipgloss she put on me so much that I ended up buying that too! It was the Burberry Lip Gloss Lip Glow in 09.  My new perfect nude gloss!

The ladies in the Burberry store were even kind enough to fill our bags with little goodies, I got a sample of the My Burberry perfume and  the Burberry Kisses Lipstick in 05 Nude Pink- can I just say, how cute are these minis!!

We also hit up L'Occitane, I picked up a refill of the almond shower oil, love that stuff so much! And we went to Victoria Secret (obvs!) but I don't think I'll be posting my new undies on the interwebs!

The last place we ended up (after lunching of course) was Laduree, I couldn't not pick up a box of their macaroons...

Look how pretty! & not to mention yummy!! These were demolished as soon as I got home!

It wasn't a major London haul but I love everything I bought!Hope you lovelies are having a great week xo

London // Mini Photo Diary

Oh London, I love you! If you follow me on instagram (if you don't, you should fyi lol) you might have know that the week me and one of my bestests took a lil trip to the big smoke. It was a spare of the moment thing, the train tickets were cheap and we found a great online deal for a hotel room for the night, so thought why the hell not have a mini holiday in London!

We didn’t really have any plans on what we were going to do or see (other than visit Victoria Secret, standard!). We stayed at the Z Hotel in Shoreditch, the staff were friendly, it was easy to find and the rooms were pretty good! I’d recommend it! For our first day/night in London we ended up having a wonder, lunching and visiting secret bars, it was a pretty great night and at a couple of moments very surreal!

A Mini Payday Haul

You know how some people say “I only went in for one thing” but come out with a hella lot more? Well, this was one of those times! I had a fresh wage packet in my bank and I was wondering round the isles of boots, needless to say a few items more than the one I needed ended up in my basket! Here’s what I picked up…

01.  Boots Extract Mango Body Butter // I’m a dry skin sufferer anyway and what with summer coming up I want my skin feeling and looking soft and smooth. I’ve been trying to moisturise my body at least once a day and I’ve just finished off my soap & Glory body moisturiser (which reminds me, empties post!) so needed to pick up another one. I love the scent of mangos, its super fresh and it’s an instant mood lifter so ended up grabbing this one. Its boots own brand and its fair trade, which is all kinds of good! And the smell, oh the smell… seriously, if you’re in boots, pick this up and smell it!

02.  Boots Extracts Mango Body Wash // While I was picking up the mango moisturiser I spotted this body wash next to it. I usually use my L’Occitane almond shower oil (seriously amazing stuff) but one whiff of this shower gel and it was in my basket! This is perfect for mornings where you need a little pick me up.

03.  Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub // I always seem to have to browse the soap and glory products, I just can’t help myself! I’ve heard great things about the breakfast scrub and it really does smell amazing, so I picked it up! & like I say, what with summer fast approaching, I want those silky smooth lookin’ legs!

04.  OGX Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum // I’ve heard a few things about the organics range and a friend of mine recently recommended this to me so thought I would pick it up. I have long and super fine hair (I wish my hair were thicker!) so anything that can give it a helping hand and keep it looking/feeling nourished and soft is worth a go! Plus, coconuts! It obvs smells amazing! Will have to a full report on this soon!

05. Dr Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Night Cream // As you probably know I’m a 9 to 5 office worker gal, and my office has a pretty hard core air-con system that literally sucks the life out of my skin (I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before!). I recently ran out of my Aesop moisturiser and needed another one but I didn’t want to break the bank. This lil purchase is from Holland and Barrett. I was browsing their website a couple weeks back and obvs found myself browsing the beauty section and I came across this little gem. I liked the idea of it being organic and the fact that it contains argan oil (which is super amazing for dry skin) was a winner for me, so I made a special trip in to my local store to pick this up. I know this is a night cream, but like I say, my skin gets pretty dry so I’ll be using this mornings and in the eves. I read the reviews online before picking this up and they were all raving about it!

I really was all about the smells of summer with this haul huh! Hope all you lovelies are enjoying the nice weather… BBQ season is upon us, yuss!!

March Favourites

Another month of 2015 bites the dust... can this year just slow down please!

I wasn't actually going to do a March Favourites post as some of the products I mention here are the same as my February Favourites. As this month has flown by so fast, I've not actually switched things up much, but I love doing these sorts of posts and love reading them myself, so here you go...

01.  L'Occitaine Almond Shower Oil // This is one from my February Favourites.  This really does leave your skin feeling silky smooth after using it. Also I can't stop raving about the smell.  Its just such a luxe product!

02.  Elemis Pro-Collagen Balm Cleanser // Like i've been saying, my skin has been incredibly dry and dehydrated lately so I've been using this Elemis balm cleanser a lot more than usual.  I have to say I have actually noticed a difference in my skin! I would totally recommend balm cleaners to all you dry skin gals out there!  Fancy reading my review of this?

03.  Mac Mineralise Skin Finish in Light // This is something that I've had in my collection for yonks and I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this in past favourites but I've really got back into using this lately.  If I fancy a fuss free makeup day, I swirl this on my skin along with a bit of concealer and don't really bother with foundation.

04.  Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation // When I can be bothered with foundation, this has been my go to! Its super long lasting, non cakey and can be built up to whatever coverage you need! I've popped a review of this up if you fancy a read.

05. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk // Ok, so this is another one from my February Favourites, but I can't help it.  This is working its way up to holy grail status and fast! Its the perfect everyday nude!

06.  Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara // Sooo, I have a confession to make... I know I've done a post on this saying that I wasn't a great fan of it, but after the whole Fairy Drops fiasco (you can read about that here) I decided to give it another shot and... I actually quite like it! I've been wearing this on my lashes pretty much all month and I'm actually considering buying the full size.  I truly eat my words about this mascara, I think I might have to write a retraction!

I hope all you lovelies have had a great February & are enjoying the bank hol weekend! Lets hope the weather perks up a bit, if not, theres always easter eggs to look forward to! xo

Rose Gold

I've been hunting for the perfect rose gold phone case for ages. After seeing "that" rose gold Topshop phone case and then sadly missing out because it was literally sold out everywhere, I was gutted and determined to find a replacement!

I was browsing the phone cases in H&M and finally found a lust-worthy rose gold phone case! Isn't it pretty?! The texture reminds me of my Whistles clutch but smoother.  It doesn't make my phone too bulky or heavy and its a pretty great price at £5.99... I just can't stop staring at it! I just had to share.

Unfortunately I think the rose gold case is on only available for the iPhone 5/5s but there is a gold version for the iPhone 6! I'm pretty sure this case will be available in most H&M stores, but you can find it online here too... you.are.welcome! xo

ASOS // Whats on my save list

Hi, my name’s Hayley and I’m an ASOS addict!... Lately I’ve become a little obsessed with ASOS! They have so many great pieces on their website I just can’t stop trawling through - combine that with student discount and it’s a dangerous little game!

I’ve amassed a few things on my “save list” lately so though I would share what I’m currently lusting after on the ASOS website…

01.  ASOS High Neck Cami Top // You can never have too many camis, in fact they’re pretty much my go to in the spring/summer months and are perfect for layering in the colder months! Basically an all year round wardrobe staple for me ha! I love the high neck detailing on this one, it kinda gives it that 90’s vibe and I’m diggin’ it!

02.  ASOS Plunge Neck Strappy Cami Top // It’s like I said before, I love me a cami and I fell in love with the detailing of the straps on this one, also I don’t think I own a grey cami – this situation needs to be fixed!

03.  ASOS Ridley Ripped Knee Jeans // I'm a little obsessed with ripped knee jeans right now and I don't actually own a pair of blue denim ripped jeans, these are just what i'v been looking for. I also love that they're high waisted... it sucks in all the poundage i've piled on recently!

04.  Oysho Lace Cami PJ Top & Oysho Lace PJ Bottoms // I love a cute PJ set and this fits the bill! I’m a sucker for lace detailing. These are actually 2 separate items but I can’t buy one without the other!

05.  H by Hudson Kiver Black Suede Ankle Boots // I'm a pretty big fan of an ankle boot and I love the style of these.  I think these would go perfectly with the ASOS ripped knee jeans that I've just mentioned.

06.  ASOS Handmade Retro Tortoiseshell Sunglasses // These are similar to the pair that I spied in one of Suzie's (from Hello October) YouTube videos.  They looked stunning on.  I need them in my life!

07.  Whistles Leather Rivington Clutch in Faux Lizard // A Whistles Clutch bag, need I say more? Since I purchased my first one, I just can't get enough of them, I NEED this beauty! I love the chain strap detail too.

08.  Yes To Coconut Ultra Light Spray Body Lotion // You can't look at the ASOS website without looking at the beauty section! I've just run out of my current body moisturiser and found this little gem, I've not seen this in stores and i'm intrigued but the spray thing on it! I love the Yes To range so i'm pretty sure I'm going to love this too!

Its actually payday for me today... I think some serious damage is about to happen, sorry bank balance! xo

My First Whistles Purchase

Soooo… the other week I was browsing the ASOS website (as per) and found this gorgeous Whistles  Leather Clutch Bag in Tan. It was love at first click! Before I knew it, it was in my basket and I was typing in my PayPal password, we've all been there ladies!

It arrived in the post the other day and I couldn't be more in love with it! Well, I wish it was a little bigger, but it is so cute! I love the feel of the leather and the gold hardware ...and for Whistles this wasn't too eye-wateringly expensive, it was £40, but hello 10% student discount! So I only paid £36 for this little beauty!

Like I say, I would have preferred it a touch bigger but I don't usually take too much stuff with me on a night out, so it'll fit all my girly night out essentials in just fine. I'll probably also use this to house all the bits and pieces that I reach for regularly in my day to day bag (I do wanna get some use of out this baby!) ...If you didn't want to use it as a clutch it would also make a great makeup bag, I would love whippign this out and making all the ladies swoon!

All my girly friends have fallen for this little piece of Whitsles heaven. If you're new to Whistles, I would definitely recommend checking out their clutch bag range for your first purchase, they come in so many different colors and textures, you're bound to find "the one" for you! Also, I recommend shopping on the ASOS website, their customer service is great, they have free delivery and returns and also offer 10% student discount!

Hope you're all having a lovely week, I'm full of cold at the moment so i'm hibernating today! xo

My Current Playlist...

I’ve been training it home a lot lately so have amassed a (smallish) collection of songs/albums that I’m completely obsessed with listening to. There’s nothing like plugging in your headphones, staring out the window and forgetting about the world for a while! I always love reading about what other music people are listening to as I discover new bands and different types of music that I end up loving.

Here’s the playlist of songs and albums that I’ve been lovely lately and that are currently on constant repeat on my iPhone…

Fair Drops Mascara // Review

There has been soo much hype around the Fairy Drops Mascara that I just had to buy it and try it out for myself! I picked up the waterproof one and daymn was it hard to get my hands on, this baby has been sold out everywhere!

I’m not quite sure what the mascara claims to do as the packaging is in Japanese, but judging by the “pea in a pod” shaped wand and the pictures on the box, I’m guessing it’s supposed to give your lashes lots and lots of va va voom!...

I’m sad to say this product, for me at least, does not live up to the hype! *insert major sad face! There seems to be lots of fibres in the mascara - obvs for lengthening the lashes - It’s a great idea and it really does lengthen my lashes, but my eyes are quite sensitive and as a contact lens wearer anything with fibres in is pretty much a no no. When I wear this mascara it can sometimes feel like I have something poking me straight in the eye ball, which then makes one or both of them water which is not the look I was going for!

This mascara doesn’t really thicken my lashes either, no matter how many coats I put on! I also find when I apply the mascara the product gets all over my lids, which is TRES ANNOYING and makes me want to give up! This mascara is also a real bitch to get off, especially after you've worked up a few coats let me tell ya!Now I know it’s a waterproof mascara and yes they usually are a bit tricky to get off, but this one will not let go of my lashes and I end up spending a ton of time just trying to get it off! - Thank the lawd for oil based cleansers! I just can’t be bothered with that!

I was going to insert a picture of my lashes with and without the mascara but I honestly didn’t see the point. I think I actually prefer Benefit’s Roller Lash mascara …I did a review of the Roller Lash Mascara saying that I didn’t really like it, well after trying this mascara I may have to eat my words take that review back!

I’m really disappointed that for me this mascara hasn’t lived up to all the hype surrounding it. Everyone’s lashes are different and what doesn’t work on one might work wonders on someone else. Personally I wouldn’t recommend this product and I do regret spending £18ish on a mascara that doesn’t work for me. I know Fairy Drops have a non-waterproof version, maybe that will work better for me but to be honest, I would rather spend my money on a brand I know that works!

Sorry guys, this product gets a thumbs down from me xo
