This year is really flying by! I feel like the closer we get to the end of the year, the faster its going! I'm kinda sad to say goodbye to August but I feel like September is month for change. I've finally finished all my exams so my evenings are free for me to get off my arse and actually do something and I'm excited to say hello to Autumn!
I feel like August was the month for skincare, I didn't really wear allot of makeup but I totally stepped up my skincare game!...
01. Elemis Pro Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks // I usually only use these on special occasions as unfortunately they are quite pricey (I usually get them when theres some sort of discount going on!) but this past month, what with late night study sessions and nerves over my exams, I've also had a couple of weddings to go to too, I've been using them a bit more than I normally would. They do such a great job at depuffing, cooling and hydrating the eye area! They are truly a mini spa sesh at home! I've been using these in combination with moisturising masks - perfect!
02. Clarins HydraQuench Cream SPF 15 // The cream is a godsend for anyone with dry and dehydrated skin, using this in combination with the other product i'm just about to talk about has been a HUGE skincare saviour for me and a must for us peeps that work in air-con offices! My love affair with Clarins has always been strong but I don't think I will ever be able to stop using this moisturiser! I use it morning and night - It smells incredible (almost holiday smell like, if that makes any sense), it has SPF and is doesn't break me out.
03. Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum // I use this before the moisturiser I just mentioned. I love this and really have to ration it because i'm just about to run out *sad face! Its kinda pricey but if you have dry, irritated and dehydrated skin - you NEED this! I get super dehydrated skin from working in an office with the air-con blaring on me all day, but since using this babe I've not had one single dry patch and my skin doesn't get all tight and irritated like it used to by the end of the day. When I use this in combination with the Clarins cream my skin stays plump, hydrated and lovely feeling all the live long day!
04. Clarins Toning Lotion with Camomile // I picked this up after receiving a tiny sample of it when I bought the Clarins HydraQuench products I just mentioned ^^. I loved it so much that I ended up picking up the limited edition 400ml bottle lol!. I hadn't used a toner in forever, but this has really been a game changer for me. Ive notice my pores arn't so big anymore and it also gives me an extra hit of hydration. I don't often wear makeup and I'v had a few people compliment me on my skin lately - I can only assume its because of Clarins??
05. Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Powder in N.20 // This was mentioned in my June Favourites & its still going strong! This has been the only powder I've been reaching for the past few months. It doesn't look cakey on the skin, gives a hint of coverage that you can work up and just adds this "something" to my complexion. I recommended it to a friend a while back, she's hooked now too!
06. Burberry eyeshadow in Pale Barley // I know I just said that I don't really wear allot of makeup but when I do, I tend to reach more for the eyeliner rather than the eyeshadow. After "shopping my stash" and realising that I had this beauty just sitting there, I've been trying to push myself to play with different eye looks that I wouldn't have before. This shade doesn't come off as dark as it looks in real life - it can be swept on for a more every day look or it can be built up for an evening out. The perfect starter eyeshadow for us eyeshadow newbs!
07. Maybeline Lash Sensational // I'm a bit of a mascara slut, I haven't really found "the one" yet so just pick up whatever ever I fancy trying at the time. For a "drug store" mascara it really lengthens and volumes my lashes and doesn't really smudge either, this has been the only mascara I've been reaching for out of my stash lately. I actually prefer the non-waterproof version, but I couldn't find it when I was taking the picture.
08. Burts Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with pomegranate oil // I have a huge thing for lip balms. My lips get dry at the drop of a hat so I keep one in pretty much every bag I own! My latest lip balm love is this one from Burts Bees. It keeps my lips so moisturised! It does have that Burts Bees smell about it but you can't really taste it when its on your lips, it tastes more pomegranate if anything - even the boyfriend likes this one!
Well that was a ramble! I do have a few other non-beauty bits that I've been loving this month but I think I might have to save that for another post! Hope all you lovelies have had a great August (and August bank holiday weekend!), lets make September amazing! xo

The Burberry eyeshadow looks gorgeous! I've really been liking the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara this month too and the Burt's Bees lip balm is an old favourite!
