Topshop - Head Over Heels...

Topshop Blush in Head Over Heels £6.00
I'v always heard good things about Topshop makeup and one shopping trip whilst mooching around the makeup section in Topshop I finally decided to take the plunge and invest in some Topshop makeup for myself.  I was pulled in by the gorgeous colours, the pretty packaging and not to mention the amazing price tags!!

After swatching the various blushes my local Topshop had to offer, I decided on 'Head Over Heels' (I just love the names that topshop have for all their beauty products!). Its a lovely coral colour, I know it looks quite bright in the picture but once blended into the skin, is a lovely muted pinky coral colour.

This is a lightweight cream to powder blush that melts into the skin giving a natural luminous and radiant finish. Applied onto the apples of your cheeks, its perfect for that rosy glow.

To me, its unscented and for someone with sensitive skin, it hasn't broken me out yet - winner!  I'm defo going to be checking out more of the Topshop makeup line! Iv already got my eye on a few more things!

Origins: Out Of Trouble Mask...

Origins Out Of Trouble 10 Minute Mask - £20.00

I suffer with combination skin - normal skin, I have an oily t-zone and normal to dry cheeks.  The past month or so, my t-zone has gone into over drive and iv had some breakouts on my forehead and chin *sad face*! I needed some help!

I was scouring the blogesphere to see what remedies I could find and the word on the street was that Origins was THE go-to skin care brand! I do have quite sensitive skin also, so I needed to find a brand that was gentle.

After scouring the Origins website, I came across this ...I also came across a few other things, but I will leave them for another post!...lets just say im glad I hit the purchase button!

It looks almost creamy but it has that clay mask texture, if you know what I mean! lol its got a sort of chalky feeling about it. I t applies easily and the great thing about this is you leave it on for 10 minutes and it actually drys in 10 minutes, none of that waiting around, is it dry, is it not dry nonsense! after 10 minutes I wipe this off with a muslin cloth and warm water.

After this mask, I really noticed a difference in the areas that I applied it to! They were no longer an oily mess and its really helped my break outs, my skin feels fresher, slightly toned and it helped dry out any blemishes I had.

I would totally recommend this product! I only apply this to my t-zone, I wouldn't recommend this if you had dry skin as I think this would dry it out even more, this is defo one for more oily skin types. I use this once ever 2 or 3 weeks and I defo notice an improvement after iv used it! In case you were wondering, it does have a fragrance to it, it has a herbaly tea tree type of smell, I kinda like it tho so it doesn't bother me! You also get 100ml of product, I know Origins can be quite expensive, so in my opinion, I think the £20 price tag isn't actually that bad!

If you can, I defo recommend picking up a sample of this stuff to try out!

Hope all you lovelies had a great Monday!

The Eyelash Icon!...

The Shu Uemura eyelash curlers... a total icon in the beauty industry!

Id never really splashed out on eyelash curlers before, I'm ashamed to say it now, but my pair before these were a pair of Primark's finest lol! It wasn't until that pair crumpled in my hands one morning that it was time to invest in a pair!

The day my poor primarni pair broke, i was browsing on Buyapowa and spotted this beaut, i decided that it was fate and needless to say, i immediately clicked the "join co-buy" button... and haven't looked back since! ;) lol

They-re quick sturdy, but i find they create such a nice curl in my lashes that lasts. Once my eyelashes are in the curlers I give them a couple of "pumps", if you know what i mean lol, an it make my eyelashes really pop!

I cant remember how much i paid for these bad boys, but they regularly feature on Buyapowa, so if your in the market from a pair of eyelash curlers, id highly recommend checking that site out... actually, go check it out anyway, you can score some amazing bargains!! lol

Hope all you beauts out there are having a great week!

L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer...

The L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer is a light replenishing base which illuminates the skin. It may be used as a base or alone. A fresh, light and silky soft formula that provides 8 hours of hydration.

I first spotted this on Beauty & Le Chic and would swatch it every time I went into Boots, but never bought it as I already have a few highlighters in my collection. Well, needless to say, when Boots had their promotion of L'Oreal products on a 3 for 2 offer, I couldn't resit picking it up! & Im so glad I did!!

This has become a staple in my morning makeup routine! I don't use this as an all over primer, more as a highlighter and also use it under my eyes, I also occasionally mix this together with my foundation to give my skin and extra boost. I also do find this primer to be quite hydrating on my skin, and with the the air-con blasting out at work at the moment, my skin needs every extra bit moisture it can get!!

As someone with sensitive skin, this doesn't irritate or break me out, and gives my skin a real glow. I picked mine up in the Boots 3 for 2 offer, but this usual retails for around £9.99. Its a product that id totes recommend! Iv swatched the foundation from the Lumi Magique line but the colours just don't suit my skin tone, but id love to try out their highlighting concealer next!.

The 1 Second Miracle ...Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

Ok, so the "1 Second" bit is quite a fib on their part, id say more like 10 - 15 seconds and a couple of swipes! But im so glad I finally bought this! Iv been reading about this on other blogs for a while and have always gone to purchase it, but backed out at the last minute.

Well, its safe to say im glad i finally took the plunge. This stuff truly is a miracle! Gone are the days of whacking out all my nail varnish remover products, wasting cotton wool and spending ages trying to get stubborn nail polish off! This stuff wipes it off no problem and smells amazing! Obviously, if you stick your nose into the pot and take a whiff it does smell of nail polish remover, but leaves the loveliest scent of red berries and vanilla on your nails.

Its Acetone-free formula is gentle on nails and cuticles and its enriched with nourishing sweet almond oil, so after taking my nail out of the pot i'll rub the oil into my cuticles for a bit of extra pampering. On a sciency note, its Paraben-free and Dermatologically tested.

This is one product that I have no idea how I lived without for so long, if you haven't already picked up a pot, id totes recommend it!! As a person who likes to change their nail polish allot (& is slightly lazy lol) its super quick an easy! I picked mine up for around £4.99 ...Plus, Bourjois products are 3 for 2 at the moment in Superdrug!

Hope all you lovelies are having a great weekend.

Mini Haul...

Hello to all my lovely little followers out there and to anyone else who wants to have a nosey at what iv been buying lately. I haven't blogged in what seems like forever!! What with me and the boyfriend moving into our own place (post to come!) and me starting a new job in the space of a weekend, its safe to say that this month has truly been busiest and most hectic month of my life! (well at least this year!)

I'm currently sat in my pj's in my own living room on a sunny Saturday morning (feeling a little worse for wear after a good ol' family knees up last night lol!) finally finding time to blog! :)

First on my little shopping rampage was Primark! I love a good Primark binge, I hadn't been in so long and ended up spending like £50!

The first thing I picked up was this absolute BEAUT of  a shirt! How pretty?! its a really soft, chiffon, sheer and creamy coloured shirt with the cutest pug print on it and the gold button detailing is to die for! Its a total jupe for THAT Zara shirt! (the one I was dying to get my hands on for ages but was sold out everywhere!) as soon as my eyes zoomed in on this, I instantly grabbed it, I was so chuffed! lol

I also picked up 2 dresses, they're both 'mullet' style dresses, the style that seem to be everywhere at the moment, one is just a plain little black dress with sort of cut off sleeves (not really good at describing!) again in a chiffon type material with a little belt around the waist, and the other was again sleeveless, the top half is black with a brown belt around the middle and the bottom half a muted leopard print, perfect for summer bbq's or summer evening drinks (if we ever get a proper summer!)

Lastly I picked up this gorgeous bag! Again it was one of those items that when I saw it I didn't even think twice, it went in the basket straight away lol! Primark did a clutch very similar to this a few years ago which I of course purchased, but id used mine so much that it broke :( so when I saw this, I couldn't believe my luck! ...I do have one very similar from Topshop, but my Topshop one has silver stud's, is slightly bigger and is 10 times the price!!! ...this bag is a steal at just £6!

(For anyone who wants to know, the shirt was £12 and both my dresses were about £15 each)

Of course a shopping haul wouldn't be complete with out some beauty products! ...

I went to Debenhams and finally got my hands on the new YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation, iv used it once so far, I like the consistency of it, but I think I need to use it a few more times before I make up my mind!

I also raided the Origins counter! I wanted a sample of their oil free moisturiser and there was no assistant to be found! there was however, a jar full of sample pots left out on the side! ;) so I was naughty and raided the counter for some goodies lol I walked away with, of course, the sample I went for, a sample of the oil free moisturiser, I also picked up a sample of the vita zing eye cream, the overnight intense moisture surge mask thing and a sample of the origins spot remover gel :) all in all, I think you'll agree a pretty good raid! lol

Also whilst on my spree in debenhams, i picked up some of my fave foundation, the Clinique Even Better Foundation, a friend recommended it to me and after seeing Tanya Burr from Pixi2Woo use it in one of her tutorials I instantly ran out and got a sample... conclusion, love it!!

On the last leg of my shopping trip I stopped in Boots and picked up so things i had been eyeing up for a while!

The first 2 things I picked up were the 17 Instant Glow in Bronze (I swatched it a couple of weeks ago and fell in love! I think I'm going to have to go back and purchase the pink version!) ...and a L'Oreal Shine Chrome Eyeshadow in Rose Gold, i saw the colour of this and thought it looked so beautiful and when I read the name, its in the shade Rose Gold, I was sold! (I'm a sucker for anything rose gold at the moment!)

The other things I picked up while in Boots was the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer, I swatch it everytime I go in and this time I finally took the plunge and bought it, I'm so glad I did! (also the packaging is amazing, loving the rose gold pump!) I also picked up the L'oreal Telescopic Mascara, ViviannaDoesMakeup raves on about this all the time and Boots finally had some in stock so I snatched it up... and last but not least, you cant walk into Boots and not purchase an Essie nail polish lol after watching ViviannaDoesMakeup's youtube vid showcasing her glorious Essie collection, I picked up the shade 'Sugar Daddy', its a pretty pink in the bottle but comes out very sheer on the nails, I'm not sure if I like it yet! After spying Essie's new summer brights collection... I'm defo picking up Bikini So Teeny next! lol

Now that iv started to spend money on myself again, I just cant stop lol! ...I may or may not have made a cheeky Feelunique order the other night lol... I feel another haul post coming soon!! lol

Megan Fox: Beauty Secrets...

I was browsing the Marie Claire website and stumbled accross an interview with Megan Fox spilling her beauty secrets & just had to share! Megan Fox is an all round babe, who wouldnt want to know the secret to that flawless looking skin and those amazing tousled locks right?!

1. My beauty philosophy is ‘less is more’, so my daily routine consists of washing my face thoroughly and moisturising with La Roche-Posay sunscreen. I drink lots of water and think it’s important to get lots of sleep.

2. I always wanted to be blonde when I was little, like Barbie and Pamela Anderson, but it would really damage my hair. It was exotic to me, as my entire family has dark hair. If I did it, I would go white- blonde- really platinum.

3. I always carry Armani Code fragrance as it reminds me of growing up in Florida, as well as Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers and a hand sanitiser. I also keep a lot of moisturisers with me when I travel as the climate changes can dry out my skin.

4. My definition of beauty is simplicity, elegance and sensuality. Ava Gardner is my beauty icon. I think that when a woman is in harmony with herself and remains true to her values, she will glow naturally. Fememininity doesn’t depend on what you wear or how you look. It’s an attitude.

5. Sport gives me positive energy so I exercise everyday with my trainer, Harley Pasternak. Each circuit is 45 minutes long and I lift weights but never do cardio.

6. I eat five times a day and don’t diet, but I do eat healthily- mostly raw and vegan food, with no dairy. It’s not always possible with travel and filming, but I try. I also take supplements like silica and fish oil religiously.

7. I try to keep my make-up fresh, clean and pretty on the red carpet. My signature look is red lipstick worn with plain eyes, so I apply a light foundation, then on my cheeks I use blush or sometimes the same lipstick that I’m wearing. Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani Lipstick in 400 contrasts well with my pale complexion and dark hair.

8. Even when I’m working I don’t like wearing too much make-up, but when I’m on my own I go bare-faced as I like to give my skin a rest.

9. For a date night I go for beachy, natural bed hair. Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray gives my hair that wavy, thick texture.

10. I have to wash my face every 12 hours and then moisturise. I only take showers as I don’t like sitting in bath water. After my shower I moisturise with Grapeseed Oil from Whole foods. It’s a great moisturiser and lighter than olive oil.
Megan Fox: Beauty Secrets
Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation / Georgio Armani Rouge D'Armani Lipstick in the colour 400 / Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers / Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray / Armani Code / Water

If thats how Megan Fox gets those gorge locks, then the Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray is next on my hit list!! lol

Bioderma Miracle...

Ok, so all you beauts out there have probably read a million and one reviews of this stuff by now, but i just wanted to add my 2 cents in to all the hype!

Lets get all the science-y facts out of the way first...  At the cutting edge of innovation, BIODERMA has pioneered micellar solutions. Specially formulated for sensitive, normal to dry skins, the Sensibio H2O micelle solution gently cleanses face and eyes. It removes water-resistant make-up.
The micelles contained in its formula effectively micro-emulsify impurities while maintaining the skin’s balance (soap-free, physiological pH). Soothing and decongesting active ingredients prevent the feelings of irritation often caused by cleansing.

My verdict... This stuff is amazing! The post title says it all! Iv got quite sensitive skin thats prone to red patches, I have an oily forehead and nose with a few dry patches in there to. Iv lost count on how many different cleansers and toners iv tried (iv even tried the Clinique 3 Step program thing, lets just say it was a bad experience!) anyways, after seeing a few fave beauty bloggers rave about this "magic water" & how this is the only thing models will use to take off their makeup, i was sold and determined to get my hands on some (im such a sucker for a hyped up product!).

Im now a HUGE fan! I dont go away without it, i rarely use make up wipes anymore, all it takes is 3 to 4 cotton pads and swoosh, my make up is gone and my skin is left feeling clean & fresh. I used to find that after using face wipes, my skin would get tight and dry, after using this there is none of that! I use a combination of this and the Avene Thermal Spray as a toner and i have to say my skin has never felt or looked better!

As a contact lens wearer, i wanted something that could take off my eye makeup while i still had my lenses in and didn't irritate my eyes in the process, I can honestly say this product does not make my eyes sting or water at all. I do find it hard to take off stubborn water proof mascara with this product but the trick is to soak a cotton pad and hold it on your eye for a little bit and then gently wipe it away. I also love the fact that it comes in massive quantities, i always pick up the 500ml bottle! (im on my second!)

I usually pick mine up from ebay, i dont have one specific seller I buy it from, but i always make sure that whichever buyer i chose to purchase it from has a good feedback percentage. I think on pay day i may have to purchase the little 100ml bottle for when I travel, it looks so cute lol

Ramble over, and 2 cents given! what do you beauts out there think of it? I fo sho cant live without it! Happy Friday!

My first official blog post!...

I literally have an unhealthy obsession with all things fashion and beauty related! Its that bad that the Boyfriend actually suggested I start this blog lol!

I needed a place to vent my ramblings about the clothes and beauty products iv bought/want to buy/wish i could own, rather than talk to the Boyfriend (who's eyes glaze over at the mere mention of superdrug lol!) or my friends (who don't really have the same amount of love for the materials things as i do lol!) so here we are...
