Inspiration: Glamping!

I’m going camping this weekend or should I say “glamping”! and for once I’m actually kinda excited about it! Is that weird?! Lol We decided to scrap the crappy little 2 man tent where you find yourself trying to get dressed laying down and waking up all smushed together, this time me, the boyf and 2 of our closest friends decided to get one MAWHOOSIVE 8 man tent together! I posted a picture of just how big it actually is on my twitter, you can have a nosey at that here.

It was a complete bargain! It was an eye watering £700 but we managed to get it in the Millets sale for a more reasonable £250 with an extra 10% off on top of that! Hazaar! (You get student discount in Millets by the way! I also found a 10% code on their website!).

So in honour of our new tent, I decided that I want to go all out and try and get in to the glamping spirit! So here is some inspiration to get me in the glamping mood and to give me some ideas of what to bring to make this camping experience that little bit sweeter!...

My Escentual Sale Splurge/Haul...

Yep, I know the pictures aren't the best quality, but I wanted to share my recent Escentual sale splurge/haul! I'm SUCH a massive fan of the Escentual website! I pretty much shop there for the majority of my skin care and rave about and recommend this site to everyone I basically come in to contact with!

I didn't get all of these products in one go... although I kinda wish I had - hello "pretty pennies"!! (You'll understand if you shop on their website!) but when I found out on twitter their sale was going to end I had to snap up a few more things! I just couldn't pass it up! Escentual have amazing prices anyway, but when their sales hit, its like christmas for beauty junkies has arrived early! lol

I decided to have a little Bumble & Bumble blow out and went for the a couple of the travel kits and of course the one and only Sunday Shampoo! (side note:  I have now tried the sunday shampoo and am majorly impressed!).  The first travel set I picked up was the Ultimate Blow Dry Set and the other travel set was the Hairdresser's Trio.

On my second splurge I picked up another Bioderma mini (for like £3, crazy!!) as I'm going camping in a few days (any glamping tips welcome!) and I'm all about the minis, I also picked up the Clarins Pore Minimizing Serum and Eye Contour Gel (I tried samples of these and was super impressed - as these were both in the sale, I couldn't say no to getting the full sizes!). I finally picked up a bottle of the Caudalie Beauty Elixir (I picked up the mini to see how my skin would react - I've already spritzed this and I can't put it down!) and lastly I picked up a mini of the Klorane dry shampoo with oat milk, I heard about this in some youtube video and thought I'd give it a go, i'm a little addicted to dry shampoos lol!

I'm sure these products will crop up in more detailed posts, but for now, this is my little haul!... I'm already counting down to the next Escentual sale! If you've not checked this website out, what are you waiting for!! (Just in case, theres a link here go go go!)

The Michael Kors Selma Tote

Look how pretty!!! *angels singing! …How heavenly is this bag?! lol Is it wrong to be in love with a bag this much?!

I’ve been after a Michael Kors bag for yonks! So decided as a birthday gift from me to me I was going to treat myself to one! I was torn between the Selma Tote and the Hamilton Tote… the Selma Tote won me over in the end and I decided to go for the Large Selma Tote in Taupe.

It’s just so classic and chic and I love hope simple it is but defiantly not plain! I was determined not to go for black, but I wanted a colour that would work with everything… and this one really does! I love the gold hardware on it too!

I know this bag is still a tad pricey, but it’s not eyewateringly so! And I know that this will last me through the years! You really do pay for quality and this bag will never go out of style!

I purchased this thing of beauty from Selfridges in London, I could have bought it online, but I wanted to pick it out in person! Unfortunately I didn’t have the best time in Selfridges and now wished I had gone to either the Michael Kors store or to Harrods! I’d never been to Selfridges before and found the staff to be judgemental and very rude… until I pulled out my bank card! Needless to say I didn’t stay in there very long, after my experience in the Michael Kors section I ended up having a quick look round the beauty hall and felt so intimated by the staff that I left without even looking at the other floors! I doubt I’ll go back there anytime soon – Sorry, mini rant over!

If you’re looking for a new investment piece I really do recommend the Michael Kors Selma Tote, this bag is timeless and just so damn pretty!!

Michael Kors Selma Tote, Large in Taupe - £315 – You can find it here on the Harvey Nichols website.

THAT Tom Ford Lipstick...

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate just how gorgeous this Tom Ford Lipstick is *sigh!

I purchased this thing of beauty when I was in London a few weeks ago for my birthday… I also picked up something else pretty special, but I will save that for another post coming soon! *insert a massive grin from me!

I knew I wanted a Tom Ford lipstick and had heard rave reviews from Vivianna Does Makeup about the shade “Wild Ginger” so surprise surprise, Wild Ginger is the one I decided to go for! I’m usually a red or a deep red kinda girl, this is my first coral purchase and it’s certainly a goodie I’d say!

This is my first dive in to the world of Tom Ford makeup and I have to say, I’m hugely impressed.  I just love the smell of this lipstick, its sweet but not the sweet smell that drugstore lipsticks have (you know what I mean, like the Rimmel lipstick smell), this is more of an “expensive” smelling sweetness (if that even makes sense lol). It’s gorgeous! It glides on with no tugging of the lips and is super pigmented.  You can gently dab this on your lips and pat it in to give a light wash of colour or you can go all out and just layer it on for the full effect! And can we just touch on the packaging for a moment?! How chic! I just love the black and gold, and that click when you put the lid on, ahh so satisfying! I feel like a richer version of me when pulling this out of my makeup stash and applying it!

I’d definitely recommend adding one of these lipsticks to your collection! Even if you never use it, it’ll look gorgeous in your Muji storage draws! ;)

Tom Ford lipstick, in Wild Ginger, £37 - You can find it here, on the Selfridges website. #enableralert

Lulworth Cove

This weekend just gone the boyf and I decided to take a somewhat spontaneous trip to the beautiful Lulworth Cove! …I say spontaneous, we were dropping the boyf’s sister off at Camp Bestival in Lulworth (she was playing) and decided that as we were in the area, we might as well go!

Candles from the Body Shop...Who knew?!

I got this little beaut of a candle for my birthday a few weeks ago…I had NO IDEA the Body Shop sold candles! It’s about time! My muma bear, bless her, picked this one for me, it’s the Vanilla and Tonka Bean scent and is described as a luxury candle with the sophisticated, creamy aroma of vanilla and tonka bean. It has essential oils, it helps soothe the mind and is paraffin-free.
